There isn’t a restaurant at the hotel so I had to go to the coffee shop next door to the hotel for breakfast. The main language spoken here is English, and although Belize has its own currency, the Belize dollar, one can use American dollars here too. The coffee shop was very busy and very good.
After breakfast I went to explore the town, however there aren’t many streets one can go down, precisely two, which are ‘safe’ so this didn’t take very long. I did know there was not an awful lot to do here when I was planning this trip and wanted to use the days here to chill a bit and catch up with stuff I haven’t had time to do, before it all starts again at Caye Caulker on Friday.
